Some City
Venice is by far one of the most decadent places I have ever been. Everything is so delicious: the architecture, the fashion, the food. The city is just saturated with textures and colors. I can't wait to go back. I wore my new red striped shorts I found in Croatia and a white tee from C & C California.

The Hype Machine
While I certainly cannot take credit for finding this site, I really use it a lot now. Ever since Kevin left for the other side of the world, I've been left to fend for myself musically, so I have decided to steal one of his secrets. The Hype Machine is a site that tracks a bunch of hipster music blogs, and synthesizes them on to one site. I always go to the most popular tag because I am a poser, and need to seem "up on it" or whatever the kids are saying these days. However, I am mostly positive there is great stuff added constantly that never makes the top fifty. I also love that you can search for songs, such as the She & Him rendition of M. Ward's "Magic Trick" that has not been officially recorded. Thanks Kev. I have been using it today to save myself from my collection of irritatingly overplayed songs on my ipod.

Packing for Croatia
Dad, Mom, Caroline, and I are going to Croatia tomorrow morning and I couldn't be more excited. It will be a full full full week of catching up on some much needed reading and sun by the ocean. It's a hard life I lead. I can't wait for tomorrow, but now I am once again faced with more packing. My philosophy with packing is always to keep it light, I hate overpacking, it's such a waste. You'll never be completely prepared for any occasion, so why even bother packing the galoshes when you know that will insure there absolutely won't be any rain. The one thing that is definitely going to make the cut for this trip is my new favorite dress from none other than the Gap. It looks with everything, and won't wrinkle in my weekend bag. Just effortless. I think I am in love.

Australia Dreams
Since Kevin's been gone, I've been thinking about Australia a lot, and so in an effort to maintain my sanity I've been channeling my aussie craze into something positive aka lusting over Zimmermann bathing suits. I ask you is there anything more fabulous than a Zimmermann bathing suit? I love the long silhouettes and the playful designs. I just wish I could excuse the expense but living in Maine for nine months out of the year is not doing anything for my argument.
