Packing, Packing, Packing
I can't wait to visit Kevin in NYC for the fourth of July, but I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out what to pack. I swear to god my little empty suitcase is judging me, sitting there with his little mouth wide open, so I have been trying to distract myself by watching the world cup and lusting over luggage. Is there anything more fabulous than Louis Vuitton steamer trunks? I also am growing rather fond of the Globe Trotter collection carried by J.Crew. Perhaps if I just had the right luggage I'd know what to pack...

Vive Le Parfum, Le Parfum Est Mort, Etat Libre d'Orange
I found L'Etat Libre d'Orange kind of on accident one day while I was perusing a shop in Paris. Their perfumes are dangerously sexy and delicious (and fantastically named might I add). Who wants to say they wear Daisy by Marc Jacobs when you can catch them off guard with "Don't Get Me Wrong Baby, I Don't Swallow by Etat Libre d'Orange?" The perfumes are stronger and suited for both men and women much like my other favorite line Serge Lutens. My personal favorite is the Jasmin et Cigarettes perfume which can only be described as teen spirit. And, I am dying to try their Bendelirious, maybe for next Christmas?

Sunny Day Errands
I had the day off, so I decided to run a couple of errands today. I wanted to sell some of my old clothes, and my friend Liz told me about a vintage store down in the old port, so off I went. Find, located on Free St. is a vintage mecca. They had a great mix from sixties Lacoste dresses to some really great ugly Christmas sweaters. They give you about 30% in cash for items and 50% in store credit if you'd prefer. I fell in love with this great leather tank turtleneck thingy and a killer Vivienne Tam skirt that was lined in this terrible ice skater polyester fabric. Here is their website: http://www.foundatfind.com/. It is definitely worth a stop if you are walking around Portland.

All Kinds of Sexy and Pale
After being burned to a crisp on the beach with Liz, who tanned beautifully instead, I have begun a search for all things sexy and pale because there is absolutely no way I am going to be a bronze goddess this summer. And, so I am investing myself in looking at photos of Kaya Scodelario for pale sex goddess inspirations.

Snap Crackle Pop
I have never really liked bags. I have always found them incredibly awkward to wear. Should I carry it on my shoulder, my elbow, in my hand? With one exception. I adore clutches. They are so sexy. I especially love taking them out on the town. My favorite clutch is one I found in a store in Dallas; it's made of recycle canned bread wrappers from Mexico. It's bright orange says Bimbo (the bread company) all over it and is hideously tacky. It's the best, and always gives my outfit a pop and a little bit of irony. Here are some of my favorite clutches from the new resort collections:
Standard Baking Company and Ball Gowns
Standard Baking Co in a ball gown is the new Breakfast at Tiffany's as far as I am concerned. Absolutely nothing bad could happen to you in this bakery. Everything is just divinely sugary and decadent. I went with Kevin yesterday, and the fresh rhubarb streusel tart made me revaluate my life. But, my absolute favorite thing is their financiers which are chewy burnt caramel cupcake things topped off with a healthy dose of chocolate; it's fantastic. My boyfriend and I stumbled in there one day and now it is a must stop whenever we are in Portland. We love grabbing a box full of goodies and shooting across the street to devour them on the docks.
