Back to School

(Photos from Style.Com)

Today, I was thinking back to elementary school where I got excited about my monogrammed backpack and my highly stylish purple corduroy jumper. I love the concept of back to school shopping, new binders, new jeans, and that first day of school outfit you lay out on your bed the night before. Now that I am in college, the lines so the school year aren't so defined, but for back to school this year I am lusting over lace, leather jackets, white blouses, and double belts. And, Phillip Lim's 2010 Resort collection seems like it might be the perfect fit. Too bad it's not going to be in my budget this year. Alas.

Who Wears the Pants?

I love khakis but I have never like how they've been translated into women's wear, until now. Unlike most women's khakis, these J. Brand Santa Cruz's have adopted not only the khaki color but also the slouchy silhouette of their male counterparts. I think these will look absolutely perfect with my new penny loafers. My only problem with them is that they come pre-cuffed.

Armor Jewelry

I am currently experiencing an unquenchable thirst for a body chain and an indian chief headdress. It's a good thing that the rent is due. These body chains are all from Armor Jewelry, I am absolutely dying to have one of their pieces. Check them out on etsy or at www.armorjewelry.com.

Celebrity Lust and Intermix Sale

Although I am absolutely broke right now... ie ramen anorexia status, I can't help torturing myself by looking at Intermix's online sale. Also I am absolutely obsessed with Zimmermann and Zooey Deschannel.

Snap Crackle Pop

I have never really liked bags. I have always found them incredibly awkward to wear. Should I carry it on my shoulder, my elbow, in my hand? With one exception. I adore clutches. They are so sexy. I especially love taking them out on the town. My favorite clutch is one I found in a store in Dallas; it's made of recycle canned bread wrappers from Mexico. It's bright orange says Bimbo (the bread company) all over it and is hideously tacky. It's the best, and always gives my outfit a pop and a little bit of irony. Here are some of my favorite clutches from the new resort collections:
